My April Wishlist

I'm starting this new series on my blog where I will write down what I want to try for the month of April. This could expanded to makeup, fashion, food, movies almost anything. For this month my list would be a bit small but I am eager to try out any suggestions so please do not hesitate to comment with something you think I should try. If I do try anything I would post a quick review in the next month's wishlist and if a deeper review is wanted I will be sure to do so. As for now here are the products I really want to try for the month of April.

BEAUTY:

Royal Care Cosmetics Makeup Brushes

I came across these brushes while searching through Instagram. They have very affordable prices and through reading some of the comments on the photos, they apparently are of high quality. I really do want to try these out for myself and see if the raves are true.

Anastasia Brow Pomade

As someone who is truly obsessed with their brows I really want to get my hands on this product. I love how this product is so different from others and would like to try it out. I really love Anastasia's  eyebrow pencil, so I'm hoping this product is just as good if not better.

FASHION:

Classic Blazer

I have been wanting this every since I saw this picture of Kim Kardashian in it. I can't believe I don't have one in my closet already. I just love how classy it makes any outfit look. I already have pairing ideas in my mind using it (That's for another blog post).

Leather Fingerless Glove

I love adding simple edgy touches to my outfit and I think this is perfect for that. I wanted it to be fingerless because I wanted to be able to wear it anywhere with it making me feel uncomfortable in any weather.

MOVIE:

The Wolf Of Wall Street

I'm a complete sucker for Leonardo DiCaprio movies and I recently saw a commercial for this. I really want to see this movie because I really love corporate advantage movies and I love how their gonna put a funny twist to it.

I don't have any food on my wishlist currently but that,  as well as song favorites, will be available next month. You can say its a substitute for a monthly favorite blog post. Don't forget to leave items, movies or songs that you think should go into my wishlist. Also I recently made an Instagram account so be sure to follow me on @thedstyle.
See you next week lovelies <3

Current Makeup Routine

Hey everyone! Though my makeup routine generally changes from time to time I've found myself wearing this same combo regularly. I tend to keep things neutral for everyday looks because they're just easier.

I first start off with a light foundation application and finish it off with a translucent powder. I then fill my brows with a dark brown eyeshadow and apply an eyeshadow primer to my lids. For my eyeshadow I use the light pink from the palette on my inner corner, the neutral brown on the rest of the lids and I put a matte brown eyeshadow on the outer corner and crease. I then line my top lash line with the black liquid liner (no cat eye included) a my bottom lash line with a brown liner and finish off my eyes with with mascara. For blush it tends to change daily but today I used a light coral shade. For lips I just apply some baby lips and I'm ready to head out the door.

I'm really obsessed with the brown eyeliner I used because I got it for such an affordable price and its so creamy and easy to apply and it last really long. Let me know if you want a quick review on it. Also Daisy by Marc Jacobs is now on my wishlist.
Let me know what your current makeup obsession is in the comments.

Shopping Day 21-12-13

This is just an outfit I put together when I went christmas shopping a day. I love this outfit because its very casual and comfortable yet it still looks classy and put together. I had a very light makeup with this look consisting of neutral eyeshadow and a red lip just to keep it festive.

Sigma Spa Brush Cleaning Glove Review

Recently I have been able to get my hands on the much raved about Sigma Spa Brush Cleaning Glove. Honestly after hearing so much about it i was like I might as well get one. I must say i was quite happy that I did. Now this is coming from a girl who has been using her hands and baby shampoo for about 3 years but it thought it was time for me to treat my brushes a little bit more professionally . There are four colours to choose from but I went with the blue.

First Thought:
Honestly I was skeptical at first when ordering it because it looked like i was paying $35. for a rubber glove. Luckily my opinion was changed when it finally got my hands on it. Though it is rubber it is quite sturdy and would most lastly last you a long while. Also i do love the microfiber cloth on the inside to protect my hands.

Using The Product:
The glove has two side one for eye brushes and one for face brushes. Each side has different textures for different steps while washing your brushes- Wash, Rinse,Refine,Shape- pretty straight forward. Don't worry though there are instructions on each step. I do really like the wash texture because I do find that it does get out all the makeup and give my brush a good wash. The rinse side however isn't really my favorite and I do end up rinsing the brush with my hands. Also I don't really find myself putting on the glove,I just rest it on the counter, because I do find it gets a better wash that way or maybe I'm just weird.

After Use:
My brushes were definitely clean and that I was happy about. I do really like this product for the thorough clean it gives my brushes. I am definitely switching in methods because I do think it does a better job than just your hands.. The price might be a high for some but you will be happy with your purchase. Less bacteria on your brushes means less breakouts on your face. So I do recommend this product for someone who wants to take better care of their brushes especially if they are high-end.
